VW Unveils Powerful ID. Buzz GTX: A Robust Bulli with 335bhp

Volkswagen's electric GTX sub-brand has introduced another addition to its lineup, the ID. Buzz GTX. This MPV, with its large and retro-modern design, now stands as one of VW's most potent models alongside the ID.7 GTX.

Offering both short- and long-wheelbase options, VW highlights the towing capabilities of its most powerful Buzz variant.

Despite some updates like new wheel designs and an available Cherry red paint option, the Buzz maintains its distinctive appearance.

Internally, VW opts for dark tones of black and red, departing from the brighter color schemes seen in other Buzz models. The front seats feature electric memory functions, while all seating surfaces are upholstered in dark grey microfibre material adorned with GTX lettering. Additionally, the new GTX model boasts VW's latest infotainment system.

The GTX is offered in both short-wheelbase (five-seat) and long-wheelbase (six or seven seats) configurations. The long-wheelbase variant can be equipped with a glass sunroof featuring a liquid crystal tinting effect.

Performance details vary depending on the wheelbase chosen. Short-wheelbase models are equipped with an 84kWh battery pack and support charging speeds up to 180kW, while the long-wheelbase model houses a 91kWh battery pack and supports charging speeds up to 200kW.

VW emphasizes the competitive towing capacities of the ID. Buzz, with the short-wheelbase version capable of towing up to 1800kg and the long-wheelbase model featuring a 1600kg capacity.

Performance remains consistent across all Buzz GTX models, featuring dual e-motors delivering 335bhp of all-wheel drive power. VW claims an approximate 0-62mph acceleration time of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 99mph. However, specific range figures have not been disclosed.
