V4B supplies cars to local charity

A charity which provides traineeships for underprivileged women is benefiting from the generosity of V4B, after it agreed to supply a fleet of four vehicles while donating the hire of one of the vehicles.

V4B has supplied a Citroen C3 and two Citroen Picassos while agreeing to donate the hire for six-months on an additional Citroen C3 to the charity WeMindTheGap.

Telephone answering service, Moneypenny set up its charitable arm, WeMindTheGap four years ago to give young under-served women opportunities in life and work.

The charity runs a 26-week paid traineeship during which the trainees receive work experience, life coaching, outward bound experiences, skills and adventures.

The new vehicles will be used as pool cars to transport the trainees around a large geographical area. The pool cars will be used by three cohorts of trainees to take them to Abedovey for Outward Bound, Manchester to the Chill Factor as well as to the GP, dentist, work placements and college.

Rachel Clacher, founder of WeMindTheGap said: ‘We are so grateful to V4B helping us organise our fleet cars for this year’s traineeship. Knowing staff can transport our young trainees comfortably and safely is a priority for us. VB4 has made the process so easy for us this year and has been extremely generous in donating the use of a car for six-months free of charge. This allows us to use our limited resources on delivering the best traineeship we can for our 30 young women in Wrexham, Flintshire and Speke, Liverpool’

The vehicles will be used until graduation at the end of March when hopefully the 30 trainees will have the skills to lead independent lives and have choices – employment, travelling, university.

Richard Boreham, MD at V4B said: ‘We are delighted to assist WeMindTheGap with its charitable work. Supplying its pool fleet and donating the use of the C3 will assist the trainees and hopefully make their journey going forwards a much smoother one.’
