Every New Car Coming in 2026: Models, Prices and Launch Dates

2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year for car buyers. This list highlights the electric vehicles expected to arrive, including a mix of long awaited models, exciting new entries, and a few familiar names returning. If you are planning to buy a new car and want to know what is coming next, this guide will help you stay informed. With manufacturers pushing hard in the electric vehicle space, buyers will have more choices than ever in 2026.

Renault Twingo

The Renault 5 and Renault 4 have already made successful comebacks, and the Twingo is next in line. Like its larger siblings, the revived Twingo will be fully electric and aimed squarely at city driving. While it does not carry the same level of nostalgia as the Renault 5, its compact size makes it well suited to urban roads.

The electric Twingo is expected to offer a range of up to 163 miles and produce around 80 horsepower, making it ideal for short commutes and city use. Renault has also confirmed it will feature up to 24 advanced driver assistance systems, helping it stay competitive in a crowded electric car market. In the UK, the Twingo is expected to carry a sub £20,000 price tag, making it one of the more affordable electric cars on sale. The model is set to launch in Europe in late 2026, with a UK arrival expected in 2027.

Jaguar GT

The Jaguar GT is one of the most controversial cars on the horizon, following Jaguar’s dramatic rebrand at the end of 2024. The company halted production of all existing models to focus fully on electric vehicles, unveiling a completely new image for the iconic British manufacturer. Public reaction was mixed, with many questioning whether such a radical departure from Jaguar’s traditional identity will be successful.

As part of this transformation, Jaguar introduced a new logo and bold branding, including the striking Miami Pink colour, moving away from its previous design language. The first production model of this new era will be a four door electric GT, expected to deliver up to 430 miles of range under WLTP testing and produce as much as 1,000 horsepower.

This bold new electric Jaguar will not come cheap, with prices expected to start at around £120,000. The Jaguar GT is due to arrive in summer 2026, and it will be a crucial test of whether the brand’s ambitious rebrand can successfully reposition Jaguar in the electric luxury market.

Volkswaggen ID.Polo

The Volkswagen Polo is one of the brand’s most popular cars, and it is set to go fully electric with the introduction of the ID.Polo. This new model will join Volkswagen’s growing ID electric lineup, which already includes the ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.Buzz, and ID.7.

Previously previewed as the ID.2 all concept, the ID.Polo is expected to go on sale from mid 2026. It is tipped to become Volkswagen’s cheapest electric vehicle, with prices expected to start at around £22,000 in the UK. The ID.Polo will offer a range of up to 280 miles between charges, while the performance focused ID.Polo GTI is expected to produce up to 226 PS.

With its compact size, competitive range, and familiar Polo name, the ID.Polo is likely to be a key player in the affordable electric car market.

Hyundai Ioniq 6

Blue Hyundai IONIQ 6 N on track

Hyundai first revealed the Ioniq 6 N in July 2025, bringing its high performance N treatment to the already impressive Ioniq 6. Following the success of the Ioniq 5 N, this new model pushes performance even further, with power output of up to 650 PS.

The Ioniq 6 N is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds, making it quicker than the Ioniq 5 N. It is clearly aimed at driving enthusiasts who are ready to go electric without sacrificing power or excitement. Hyundai has also included advanced performance features such as Drift Optimiser, allowing drivers to adjust the car’s behaviour for more dynamic driving.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is expected to arrive at the start of 2026, with prices likely to be around £65,000.

BMW iX3

BMW iX3 in blue on charge

BMW has revealed the next generation iX3, its latest fully electric SUV, and it is shaping up to be one of the most impressive electric family cars on the market. The new iX3 is powered by a 108.7 kWh battery and is capable of delivering an official range of up to 500 miles under WLTP testing.

Power comes from a dual motor setup producing 463 bhp, sending drive to all four wheels. This allows the iX3 to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.9 seconds. The SUV also features an advanced 800 volt electrical system, enabling some of the fastest charging speeds currently available. Using a 400 kW charger, more than 200 miles of range can be added in just 10 minutes, while a 350 kW charger can deliver a similar boost in under 15 minutes. Even a 150 kW charger provides a useful top up in around 30 minutes.

With its combination of long range and rapid charging, the new iX3 is expected to be a very popular option, especially for buyers looking for strong real world usability. It is set to go on sale in the UK in spring 2026, with prices starting from £58,755. BMW is also expected to introduce additional, lower priced versions at a later date.

The Shark 6 is already on sale in markets including Australia and South Africa, and it is expected to arrive in the UK in late 2026. Prices are likely to start at around £40,000, making it a competitive option for buyers looking for a capable and electrified pickup truck.

Range Rover EV

The Range Rover EV has been highly anticipated for some time, with strong demand already reflected in long waiting lists. Originally expected to arrive in 2025, development delays mean the first customer deliveries are now expected in the first half of 2026. Despite the wait, enthusiasm remains high as buyers look forward to the first fully electric version of the luxury SUV.

Official images show a design that closely mirrors the existing petrol, diesel, and plug in hybrid Range Rover models. Subtle changes include a smoother grille insert, designed to improve aerodynamics and help maximise driving range, while maintaining the familiar Range Rover look.

The electric Range Rover is expected to offer a range in excess of 300 miles on a single charge, although full technical details have yet to be confirmed. More information is expected later this year ahead of its official launch. Prices are estimated to start at around £170,000.

Honda Super N
